I have cleared CA PCC and am planning to join CFA from CFA Institute, US. I have learnt that there are three types of membership: regular, CFA charterholder, and affiliate. Hence, from what I could interpret it seems that when we clear CFA Level III, we will be given only affiliate membership. To acquire regular membership, we must Have 48 months of professional work experience in the investment decision-making process I am confused as to whether we can use the CFA Designation immediately after clearing Level III and whether such affiliate membership has any value or only the regular members can use the CFA Designation (in which case the work experience needs to be gained....) I would be glad if some CFA Member/Student here can help me out....
